Today’s Storey Gallery occupies the impressive space that was home to Thomas Storey’s original gallery, still exhibiting some of the country’s most highly respected and exciting contemporary artists.
Litfest has been hosting its famous literature festival for thirty years, today having established its position as a major player in the development of literature.
Lancaster’s award winning Visitor Information Centre occupies a space on the ground floor and, as well as offering valuable services to all residents, will significantly increase footfall to the centre.

Storey Gallery
Today, the Storey Gallery is an artist-centred, publicly-funded organisation, commissioning, promoting and presenting a highly respected programme of contemporary visual art by national and international artists. The splendid Victorian gallery is one of the best exhibition spaces in north-west England.
The Gallery nurtures and commissions innovative and challenging practice in visual art. All activity is centred around engagement with audiences, and aims to stimulate critical thought, debate and reflection.

Litfest
Excellence is the feature of Lancaster’s award winning Visitor Information Centre. The VIC had a home on Lancaster’s historic Castle Hill for 20 years, but moved across the road to The Storey in March, becoming very welcome, key residents.
The VIC is key to Lancaster’s buiness and tourist trade. As agents and as retailers for venues in and around the area, the VIC is the first port of call for visitors for information, leaflets, tickets and timetables. [http://www.citycoastcountryside.co.uk]
Andy Diggle is a freelance comic-book writer, currently under exclusive contract to Marvel Comics, for whom he writes DAREDEVIL.
In October 2009, principal photography was completed on the movie adaptation of his cult action-thriller series THE LOSERS, starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Idris Elba and Zoe Saldana, which is due for worldwide release in April 2010.
Formerly the Editor of influential British sci-fi comic 2000 AD, Andy now has over a dozen graphic novels in print, including JUDGE DREDD, HELLBLAZER, BATMAN, SWAMP THING, THUNDERBOLTS, ADAM STRANGE, GREEN ARROW: YEAR ONE and GUY RITCHIE'S GAMEKEEPER, which has been optioned by Warner Bros.
London born and bred, Andy moved to Lancaster in 2005 and was one of the first residents to move into the newly-refurbished Storey Creative Industries Centre.
