Life Writing with Kate Feld

Life writing with writer and blogger Kate Feld. These intensive, hands-on workshops will help participants learn how to use material from their own lives as the basis for creative writing. Through a variety of exercises, discussion-based readings and sharing of work, we’ll investigate memoir writing, personal essays, journals and blogs.

Kate writes the Manchizzle blog. Her journalism has appeared in newspapers and magazines including Art World, The Independent and The Guardian and she has worked with organisations including the Manchester Literature Festival, BBC Manchester and Arts Council England. She grew up in Vermont, lived in Taiwan and New York and moved to Lancashire in 2003. Some of her life writing is featured in Mostly Truthful, Flax019.
