Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences Professor, Mieke Bal (www.miekebal.org), based at the Amsterdam School for Cultural Analysis (ASCA), University of Amsterdam, is an internationally-renowned cultural theorist, critic and video artist.
During her visit to Lancaster on 26th March she will show her new film, Madame B (www.madamebproject.com), an adaptation of Madame Bovary, and give a public lecture and Q&A on the film.
This is a public event and all are welcome. The film will be shown in the Auditorium of the Storey from 6-7.30pm and after a short break in the bar we will continue with the lecture and Q&A, 8-9pm. For further details contact Sharon Ruston ([email protected])
