Emily Butt

I’m 19 and from Norfolk. I study English and Creative Writing at the University of Cumbria in my first year

and I’d really like to make a living as a performance poet.

Chris Hanlon

I'm 18, studying English language and creative writing at Lancaster University.

Writing and performing poetry is something I really love to do and I wish to carry this on in the future.

And I'm really looking forward to this months spotlight event!

Emily Ingle

When I'm not studying for university, I'm often found watching QI, attempting to visit Narnia,

and experimenting with art and writing. Sometimes all at once. Sarah described one of my poems as "odd",

which I'm definitely taking as a compliment.

Thomas Jennings

Thomas says he is 'a hobbyist writer of experimental prose and poetry'. His short story 'Tell William' appeared in the third

issue of Release for Stepping Stones Nigeria. He is currently working on an untitled novel.

Amy Luxton

I am an eighteen year old first year student at Lancaster University, studying English with Creative Writing.

I write novels and performance poetry, and enjoy exploring historical and feminist themes in my work.

Michael Stables

I'm 15 years old, and currently in Y10 at high school.

I study Spanish, science, history, and catering, and I am throughly enjoying it.

And guest performers from our 2012 'Listening To Youth' project.

Hellen Kelly

I'm a singer songwriter from the small city of Lancaster! I sing, play guitar and play a little ukulele

when I'm feeling especially cheerful! I write my own tunes as well as doing covers, I have been playing

for almost 4 years now and I absolutely love it. I am just about to release my first EP. 

Cameron Baird

Cameron is a young singer/songwriter and actor who has recently been working with Spotlight's 'Times of Life'
