Mike Derbyshire, Local Historian - Local History Research
Mike will introduce us to fascinating source material relevant to the area. Every-one welcome to bring items of interest
Saturday 8 March at 2pm at the Fairfield Orchard, Sunnyside Lane entrance
Tarja Wilson, Environmental Projects Officer, Lancashire County Council - Hedgerows and Hedgerow Trees, their Wildlife and Landscape Value -
An exploration of the various hedgerows in Flora and Fauna, with an explanation of the different ways in which these are managed and the impact on wildlife and landscape(Wellies needed)
Thursday 27 March at 7.30 - 8.30pm at the Storey
Dr. Chris Workman - Organisms and Ecology of FLORA and FAUNA.
Chris is an active member of the Fairfield Association and will talk about the ecology of grasslands and the organisms which make them work.
