Town Hall Tours
Uncover the secrets of Lancaster’s Edwardian town hall and explore parts of a building rarely seen by the public.
Town Hall Tour & Afternoon Tea
Join one of our guides and embark on an illuminating tour of Lancaster Town Hall. Inside you’ll discover the mayor’s official parlour, the council chamber and the impressive Ashton Hall, before being ‘sent down’ from the old courtrooms into the atmospheric subterranean police cells. Along the way, uncover gems including the Olympic torch, Gillow’s centrifugal table, and the Ashton Hall’s grand concert organ. Tour takes approx 1hr.
After joining us for a guided Town Hall Tour, experience one of England’s most beloved rituals and treat yourself to an Afternoon Tea in the Mayors Official Parlour. Indulge in a selection of traditional English finger sandwiches and cakes made using locally sourced ingredients provided by the Printroom Café & Bar. Choose to wash it down with an Atkinsons Filter Coffee, Lancaster Tea or individual small bottle of Prosecco.
