We have now stopped all new garden waste subscriptions.

Garden waste collection

Details of our fortnightly garden waste collection service and how to subscribe for 2021/22

Renewing your subscription

If you are already subscribed to our garden waste service, we will email or write to you with your renewal codes. This is the simplest way to renew your subscription for 2021/22. Subscriptions will open again in February 2021.

If you don't have your renewal codes, just take out a subscription for 2021/22.

Subscription and cost

The subscription cost is £40 per bin from 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 (collections are suspended during the winter - please consult your collection calendar for details). You can share a bin with a neighbour to halve the cost for you both.

If you don't already have a green bin, you must order one first. Please note that a delivery charge applies.

Once subscribed

Please note that your bin will be collected as soon as possible after subscribing. However it can take several days to process your payment and we cannot therefore guarantee your bin will be collected on your next scheduled collection day.

Your subscription sticker will arrive within 15 working days.

Collections are fortnightly. Please ensure you put your bin out by 7am on your scheduled collection day. If you have lost your calendar you can check your collection dates online. Only garden waste must be placed in the green bin.

Alternatively

If you choose not to subscribe you can either compost your green waste at home or take it to one of the household waste recycling centres operated by Lancashire County Council.
