An Introduction to Creative Writing with Sarah Fiske

Sarah will create a relaxed, and supportive atmosphere in which people can have fun with writing. You’ll find you learn a lot from the group, so sharing  what you write and being a responsive listener is key.

There will be exercises each week, encouraging you to find your own voice; experiment with words and rhythms; develop characters through  dialogues and monologues; use active description to bring people, settings, and situations to life; explore humour; develop conflicts; and learn the basics of editing.

Sarah Fiske is a local writer/performer, who has run creative writing workshops for many years. As well as working in the Community, she has tutored at the Adult College, and on the University’s  Continuing Education Prpgrammme.Sarah also co-ordinates Spotlight, the monthly live literature event, at the Storey.

Thursdays 17th February – 7th April, 7-9pm
Cost £80 (£60 concs)
